What to cook quickly

Ten minutes is enough for anything that needs no long cooking: eggs, canned tuna, cottage cheese, beans from a tin, raw vegetables and bread. Twelve such dishes below, each with its time.

Twelve dishes in 10–20 minutes

The time starts when you take the food out and includes chopping. If a grain was cooked yesterday the dish is faster still — the site marks that as “already cooked”.

What can I make from eggs in 10 minutes?

An omelette with tomato, scrambled eggs with herbs, or toast with egg and avocado. Eggs take 5–7 minutes; the rest is chopping.

Can a quick meal still be filling?

Yes, if the protein needs no long cooking: tuna, eggs, cottage cheese, chickpeas or beans from a tin. Fullness comes from protein, not cooking time.

How do I make tomorrow faster?

Cook a double portion of the grain today. Tomorrow only the protein and the chopping are left — 7 to 10 minutes. That is exactly how the weekly menu here is built.
